a near perfect evening to cap off a really wonderful weekend.
and a rather smiley one at that
:0)
did you ever cross paths
with a person whose graceful cadence
simply left you
floored?
maybe?
sadly my friend, that means no.
you would remember it
trust me**
in my case
{in this case}
it was in her speech
and in her smile,
both coy and exuberant
somehow {yes, i don’t know how.}
and effortless confidence
of the type
that isn’t cocky.
and kindness
of the type
that doesn’t feel like pity.
and it all conspired
to lull me into something
akin to trance.
come back now please
{i barely
got to know you}
and i would very much like
to make
your acquaintance
again.
“Wilco (The Song)”
Are you under the impression
This isn’t your life?
Do you dabble in depression?
Is someone twisting a knife in your back?
Are you being attacked?
Oh, this is a fact
That you need to know – oh, oh, oh, oh
Wilco, Wilco
Wilco will love you, baby
Are times getting tough?
Are the roads you travel rough?
Have you had enough of the old?
Tired of being exposed to the cold?
Stare at your stereo
Put on your headphones
Before you explode – oh, oh, oh, oh
Wilco, Wilco
Wilco will love you, baby
There’s so many wars that just can’t be won – oh, oh, oh
Even before the battle’s begun – oh, oh, oh
This is an hour of arms open wide
A sonic shoulder for you to cry – on, on, on, on
Wilco
Wilco will love you, baby
Is someone twisting a knife in your back?
Are you being attacked?
Oh, this is a fact
That you need to know – oh, oh, oh, oh
Wilco, Wilco, Wilco
Wilco will love you, baby
so as i mentioned recently, i’ve been shooting some stock photos, and mostly that’s been images of delectable looking (hopefully!) and healthy food. these are the two i’m happiest with right now (edamame and ranier cherries.)
technically speaking they were both shot in my bedroom, using a home-made light tent that i built from pvc pipe and tracing paper — I know, high tech! but the final product speaks for itself.

i’m slowly learning my way around the pitfalls of studio-type shots, but it’s a really enjoyable process, and the challenge is probably what draws me towards it… i’m nothing without a challenge in front of me.
but then you already knew that.
it’s strange to me… how i’ve spent the entirety of the last two years trying to build a whole new set of friends (at which i’ve been quite successful actually,) but still, at the end of the day, despite the rather large number of local visitors that peruse this website every day, i spend most of my evenings by myself wishing i had some folks to talk to.
i promise you — i’m much more interesting in person.
