keeping up with cary online & off

Cary3Okay, so as I reach out to make new friends and acquaintances sometimes it just seems prudent to remind people of how they can keep up with me online and off.

Probably the easiest way to make contact, short of this blog or e-mail (cary@carymiller.net,) is via facebook… like a lot of folks, I’ve got accounts at many of the online social networks, but facebook is the only one I’ve used consistently for any amount of time, and I check in there at least a few times a day.

I’m always up for a game of Wordscraper or Scramble (so sorry to see you go, Scrabulous!) and I’m not half-bad at Tetris either.

Actually, in the ten months since Lori passed away, facebook, and flickr have become real lifelines for me as I strive to reconstruct my life and build up a new base of friends and supporters.

Of course, what I could really use are some fresh new faces in my offline world, so please don’t be afraid to drop me an e-mail if you live nearby and would just like to hang out some time…

I can often be found after work at the Peet’s Coffee on 19th & R streets, in Sacramento (paper & an iced latte, thank you,) or just tooling around midtown on my old mountain bike.

I’ve also got a beautiful backyard garden that is just begging for some evening BBQs before the summer passes into fall.

Okay, that’s enough begging…. see ya’ around!

  • Cary if we lived near you versus SC, would love to come and enjoy a BBQ with you, but if your travels ever bring you to SC, hope you’ll plan a visit, would love to meet you, the welcome mat is out. Is there any Single Group type organizations near you that you could join in and meet new friends to share fun times with? Hope you have a weekend of fun and laughter. Arlene (AJ)

  • Mah face is far from fresh but it is friendly and I would be honored to meet up with you (and Gaela, or Kiz, or anyone for that matter)…(of course YOU are enough by yourself!!!). (*friendly wink*)

I am, after all, just a couple hours away. We could meet in the middle and have some lunch or do the zoo or the beach. Or I could drive up on a weekend and you could show me around old town Sac. That would rock!

    Friends are good.

    You are better.

  • Hi Erika,

I didn’t read your comment correctly, I thought it said on Sundays, as in Sundays are best for you. I didn’t realize you were talking about THIS Sunday. We will be up in Grass Valley this weekend.

I predict Cary will be inviting you to Sacramento soooon.

Also, we’d love to have you in Alameda for a visit sometime.

    Love,

    Kiz
