imagine how many fewer people would die grizzly deaths on the road each year if we ALL drove miniature automobiles that looked like they’d escaped some ride at disneyland…
imagine how many fewer teen pregnancies there would be if there simply were no more back seats…
imagine how much more you’d enjoy taking your kids to the drive-in if your entire family didn’t have to strain to see over the cab of some guy’s monster truck, while a pair of big rubber testies swung in your face…

Well, maybe it’s not too late, Cary - because although we can’t change the past, we can certainly change the future.
I read last month that 10 billion fewer miles were driven in the US this May than last year. Road traffic in the UK is down approximately 20%. All because of higher fuel prices. It just goes to prove how six months of blunt economics changes more minds that two decades of razor-sharp environmental thinking.
I saw a new Fiat Seicento this week - it’s a chunked out version of the original Topolino (Mickey Mouse) Fiat 500/600 which you can still see on the streets of Rome today. The Smart Car is taking over in London, and the urban gas guzzler - once so fashionable - is now a badge of shame. As you can see in this marvellous video clip from Greenpeace.
